Oxenford, Australia
In 2008, Wet n Wild Water World opened Australia's first and only Double Sidewinder attraction. Branded as the Kamikaze, riders plunge down a sheer 11 meter drop at an angle of 70 degrees. Reaching speeds up to 50 km/hr, riders feel the sensation of zero gravity.
Chief Executive of Warner Village Theme Parks (WVTP) John Menzies says, “We expect this new attraction to be a big hit with our thrill seeking teens and adventurous families. It's a unique attraction and the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere. It’s an extremely unique attraction and the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere. We ask guests ‘Ride if you dare!’ – it’s going to be one of those rides that keep you coming back for more," he said.
